Welcome from the PFO Co-Presidents

Dear PTPS Parents,

We want to extend a warm welcome to both our new and returning families. We are looking forward to a great year. The Parent Faculty Organization, or PFO, acts as a proactive liaison between the school and its families. It sponsors numerous extracurricular events throughout the year for parents, students, and faculty such as seminars for parents, social, enrichment and community service events for students, and lunches and treats for teachers. These activities help knit our community together more tightly and offer many opportunities for you to get involved at our school.

Becoming involved at school through the PFO is a great way for you to feel connected. Our meetings provide updates on school news and activities, and often feature a guest speaker. Consider helping at one of our two book fairs, the annual fundraiser to benefit financial aid, or being a mystery readers in your child's class.  There are many committees that offer an array of volunteer possibilities including teacher appreciation and community service.  In fact, there are over seventy ways each year that parents can contribute their time and talents. On behalf of the entire PFO Board, we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in person!
